SpotShot is a screenshot tool for poker. One press saves the table and what the lobby says at that moment: the prize pool, the players left, the bounties and, on a mystery, the chests still unopened.

Press your shortcut and SpotShot takes the screenshots for you: the table, the tournament lobby and, on a mystery, the chests that are left. It joins them into one image and saves it to your folder.

Keeping the preflop spots you want to study later, together with what the table does not show: the players left, the average and starting stacks, the prize pool and, on a mystery, the chests that are left.

Yes. A second shortcut works like the Snipping Tool in Windows: click a window to capture it, or drag a box around part of the screen.

It captures exactly what you point at, poker table or not. Anonymous, High resolution and Instant capture only apply to the table shortcut.

Pick a shortcut in the main window and press it during the hand you want to keep. That is all.

There is nothing to set up for each room. We have done that already, and when a room updates its software, we adjust SpotShot and send the fix to everyone.

Besides the two shortcuts and their folders, you can put the lobby beside the table or under it, hide the names at the table, and choose the capture sound and its volume, or turn it off. You can also save the hand setup and the tournament structure for ICM calculators, and store your spots in the library.

Two settings change how the table is taken: at once when you hover it, with no click, and at a higher resolution.

No. SpotShot writes the hand setup from the table, so there is nothing to look up in a tracker. It sits in the spot’s folder, and Copy hand in the library copies it in one click.

Keep your tracker if you use it for stats.

In the SpotShot Library folder inside your capture folder. Each spot is an ordinary folder on your PC that File Explorer shows too, and nothing is uploaded.

Stars, review marks, tags and notes are saved in the spot’s own folder, so they move with it.

With Hand setup and Tournament structure on in Settings › Capture behaviour, each capture gets its own folder with two extra files: the hand setup and the tournament structure.

The hand is written in the PokerStars format up to your decision. The structure lists what each place pays, read from the lobby in the same capture.

No. Every player is written by position, and the table is read only for stack sizes. The library also stays locked while a poker client is running.

The hand setup uses the PokerStars format, which ICM calculators such as HRC (Holdem Resource Calculator) and GTO Wizard import. The structure file is laid out like a SharkScope export, which HRC loads in its hand setup.

No. SpotShot reads the payouts from the lobby as you capture and writes a structure file that HRC loads as is. Nothing to look up, nothing to build.

The capture is always saved. The hand file is still written with the seats, stacks and a button, so it imports. The folder is named “spot not read”, and the log says why.

Check the positions after you import it.

Nothing. SpotShot is in a free public beta that runs until the end of 2026, with every feature included.

Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) and Windows 11, 64-bit. The installer includes everything SpotShot needs.

SpotShot is not code-signed yet, and Windows shows that warning for any program it does not recognise. Click More info, then Run anyway.

The installer comes straight from our GitHub releases, the same place SpotShot updates itself from.

If your poker client, HUD or table manager runs as administrator, Windows will not let an ordinary program click into it. Run SpotShot as administrator too, so the two have the same rights.

If it still happens, export the log from Settings › Help and send it to us on Discord.

Yes. SpotShot follows the rules of every poker room it works on and gives no advantage: it only saves a screenshot of the hand and the lobby quickly.

We checked this with the poker rooms rather than assume it.

Yes. Nothing in SpotShot lets anyone see what you capture, us included. It goes online for two things only: to check for updates, and, when it starts and every few hours, to confirm this copy may run. That check sends a random number and gets back the same public list every copy gets. SpotShot sends nothing about you, your PC or your captures, and nothing records who asked.

The library stays closed while any poker client is running, even minimised or in the tray, and closes if one starts. Everything you typed in it is saved first. Captures keep working and are filed into the library as usual.

Spots are for study away from the tables, so SpotShot keeps the library closed while you play. Close every poker client and the library opens again.

Updates keep SpotShot working. When a poker room changes how its software looks, captures can break, because SpotShot is tuned to each room down to the size of its table and lobby.

We watch for these changes and fix them quickly, and the fix reaches you as an update.
